Dr. Terry & Kris Oxley

Terry was a police officer for Portland, Oregon where he was fulfilling his life-long ambition of being a police officer. After years as an officer, he recognized he was not satisfied and sensed there was something more in life for him to do.

 Kris was a registered nurse at Emanuel Hospital where she had been employed since graduating from nursing school.  

After Terry and Kris rededicated their lives to God, direction began to focus clearly for them. Terry took a leave of absence from the police department while he and Kris attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. After completing school, they returned to Portland where they continued their education through Minnesota Graduate School of Theology while pioneering a new church.

Terry graduated with a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Ministry. Kris graduated with a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Ministry.

Terry and Kris have started two churches - one in Portland, Oregon and one in Beaverton, Oregon.

After twenty years in Oregon they believed God led them to leave their church in Beaverton and move to Redding, California and their new home at True Life Church
